Acne Studios taps renowned self-portrait artist Christopher Smith to celebrate their new fall winter 2022 menswear collection through a collection of transformative and colorful self-portraits.
About Christopher Smith
Known for his transformative self-portraiture, South African artist Christopher Smith reimagines Acne Studios’ FW22 menswear collection in an exclusive photographic series. Playfully dressed up as different characters, Smith appears as a lumberjack, 70s hippy, leather-clad aviator, and disco stud wearing garments from drop 3.
Christopher Smith first collaborated with Acne Studios in 2021, where he reinterpreted the themes of Acne Paper and the 15 issues that ran between 2007 and 2014 for a large-scale book and exhibition looking back at the magazine’s influence.
