The brilliant British designer, Ashley Williams, holds nothing back for spring/summer 2020 as she defines a new girl, the e-girl (those who know, know). Seemingly inspired by internet meme culture and the social lexicon that goes along with it, the collection takes a turn towards the way the youth actually feel today. The collection may even be a conduit.
Psychedelic, badass, and irreverent are words we’d get behind to describe the collection. It’s a funny-not-funny moment when you realize Williams may be one of the few designers in the industry that ‘gets it.’ Aristocracy is out, relatability is in. Speaking of, I wouldn’t mind one of the ‘ANXIETY’ belts.
