Barbour & C.P. Company: Weaving Heritage into Autumn Winter ’23

October 10, 2023

Marrying British tradition with Italian craftsmanship, Barbour and C.P. Company reveal their Autumn Winter '23 collection. This renewed collaboration artfully balances innovation with legacy, resulting in timeless apparel.

Classic Meets Contemporary

Established in 1971 by renowned designer Massimo Osti, C.P. Company is recognized for its military-inspired outerwear, groundbreaking fabrics, and pioneering design techniques. When this Italian flair meets Barbour’s iconic British waxed cotton, the collection emerges as a harmonious blend. Earthy hues come alive with a combination of organic waxed cotton and Ardanlanish tweed, producing durable yet stylish garments.

The Pinnacle of Outerwear

At the heart of the collaboration is the Barbour x C.P. Company Creel Wax Jacket. Merging Barbour’s signature Bedale design with the C.P. Company’s Mille Jacket, this piece embodies elegance and heritage. Crafted with Barbour's 8oz waxed cotton, its details include wrap-around flap pockets, a detachable hood featuring C.P.’s signature watch lens and goggles, and an adjustable collar. The rich black wool of the Hebridean sheep adds depth, complemented by natural plant dye colors, including a standout new orange.

Another showstopper is the Barbour x C.P. Company TC Explorer Wax Jacket. Inspired by C.P. Company's iconic Explorer design, it combines Barbour's classic materials and a robust two-way zip extending to the hood. This jacket elegantly fuses features from both brands, making it a true reflection of their combined essence.

Ian Bergin, Director of Menswear at Barbour, expressed, “Collaborating with the C.P. Company team has resulted in creations that are instantly iconic.” Paul Harvey, Designer at C.P. Company, added, “These pieces capture the mutual respect and shared vision of our brands.”
