The first perfumes Hedi Slimane designed were a private collection for Maison Christian Dior in 2004. It is with great excitement that we learn of a new collection for CELINE. The Haute Parfumerie collection includes 11 fragrances divided not by gender but by purpose: daytime or evening. A deeply personal project, the inspiration for each fragrance comes from Slimane’s personal olfactory journal, “where each perfume relies on the memory of emotions, on a specific memory or the narrative of the couturier.”
The formation of the bottle, as seen in the debut video below, is a hallmark for the collection. In the tradition of French glassmaking, the bottle is made from heavy glass and black lacquer. Sharp edged fluting on the side of the bottle lend to its minimalist and Art Deco appearance. The fragrances will be released in fall 2019 and two in 2020. Explore the images and video below.
