"The boutiques should look like a living room where people do not feel like they are in a store but in the home of a friend, who loves them and knows them well," Louboutin explains.
While drawing inspiration from traditional Egyptian dahabiyas—river boats that ply the Nile—for its overall ambiance, the boutique's new design emphasizes warmth through rich wood tones and hand-crafted details. Wrought iron gates, sourced during Louboutin's travels, create a natural division between the men's and women's collections while maintaining the space's residential flow. The designer's personal touch extends throughout: crystals and geodes from his private collection adorn the space, while textiles featuring floral and aquatic illustrations by Louis Barthelemy for Pierre Frey add layers of visual interest.
The renovation introduces several firsts for the brand. The boutique now diffuses Louboutin's Fétiche Le Cuir perfume throughout its chambers, creating an olfactory signature that complements the visual experience. A dedicated VIP room, the first of its kind for the house, offers clients private consultation during the special order process.
