Gen Z icon Claire Rosinkranz took over the internet with her breakout debut “Backyard Boy” in 2020 (read our interview on her first EP BeVerly Hills BoYfRiend). Today, she releases a new single and music video: “i’m too pretty for this.” It’s a tale we know too well: the stir of post-breakup feelings and feeling too worthy to endure the shortcomings of a romantic interest.

Channeling late nineties pop-punk, Claire’s clever lyricism shines on the track. “Why do your promises never stick. And why are your words always full of shit… I’m too pretty for this,” she declares.
The music video takes you for a floral ride in the bed of a pickup truck. Be ready for plenty of the twists and turns of the valley. With the wind in her hair, Claire reminisces on why “sometimes you need to say, I’m too pretty for this and just move on.”

This song arrives after Claire’s 2023 single “Frankenstein,” which has garnered over 104M streams. It’s a song inspired by the timeless Cardigans’ 90s hit “Lovefool.” Later this year Claire will make appearances at Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Life Is Beautiful, and will support Alec Benjamin on his The (UN)Commentary Tour this fall.
