Claire Rosinkranz Releases New Single and Announces Highly Anticipated Debut Album “Just Because”
July 16, 2023
Gearing up for a major moment, 19-year-old Southern California singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Claire Rosinkranz serves up a new single and music video entitled "Screw Time." This release paves the way for her highly anticipated debut album, "Just Because," which is set to land on October 6th via slowplay/Republic Records. Fans can now pre-order or pre-save the album, and they can also catch a glimpse of the official album trailer.
Screw Time
With its nostalgic lyrics and cinematic production, the upbeat track "Screw Time" attempts to capture the essence of carefree teenage bliss before it slips away into impending adulthood. In a plea to hold onto the moment, Claire urges, "I need a pause button." The accompanying music video reflects this spirit, featuring bright colors, close friends, and awesome trampolines. It's undeniably Claire Rosinkranz through and through.
Claire explains, "The song is about the feeling of being in some of your most prime growing up years and wanting to live in all of the memories you’ve made forever. Instead, you watch time push you further away from your favorite moments faster and faster. Screw time!"
Just Because
Prior to "Screw Time," Claire Rosinkranz already paved the way for her debut album with successful singles like "Sad In Hawaii" and "Never Goes Away," accumulating millions of streams and generating excitement among fans. Additionally, she recently collaborated with Louis The Child on their summertime anthem "Walls."
"Just Because" captures all the joy, confusion, anxiety, and wonder of growing up through 13 tracks set to a soundtrack of gleeful guitars, lo-fi production, and chantable choruses—all under the warm California sun. Throughout 2022, Claire wrote and recorded the album with producers Afterhrs, Paul Phamous, Stint, Elie Rizk, and her most frequent collaborator, executive producer, and dad Ragnar Rosinkranz.
Describing the album, Claire states, "Just Because is a collection of songs I wrote about my life as an 18-year-old. It's a window into my world as I'm growing up and navigating life. Enjoy stepping into my lil movie."
As excitement continues to build, Claire Rosinkranz is also set to perform a series of live shows across the country and in Australia. Fans can find a full list of upcoming tour dates on her official website.
