Creative Director Matthew M. Williams teams up with the American duo Brick Owens and Dieter Grams for a hybrid take on essential streetwear

November 8, 2022

Givenchy presents a special collaboration with the Atlanta-born, New York-based underground brand (b).STROY.

Fashion and art

Building on a longstanding friendship, Givenchy Creative Director Matthew M. Williams and (b).STROY explore a shared love of fashion and contemporary art through experimental shapes and treatments with a dash of audacity. The goal: to create an experience beyond fashion that focuses on expressing individual style.

The capsule collection

For Spring 2023, Givenchy and (b).STROY unveil a capsule collection that looks to the future of fashion through inclusivity, innovative materials, silhouettes, and details. For Givenchy, (b).STROY offers a sort of eternity loop of positive and negative space, layered colors and distressed effects — as well as on the double-headed hoodie that featured in the American Fashion exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (through September 5th, 2022).

The Givenchy x (b).STROY collaboration will launch in selected Givenchy stores and on givenchy.com on November 4th.

Givenchy Details

Givenchy essentials for women and men include oversized, draped t-shirts with funky graphics, all-over print in bright blue, pink and yellow on t-shirts and jeans. Women's accessories include limited-edition variations on the Antigona soft, now with metal charms; the Moon Cut-Out shoulder bag and the G-tote with a colorful optical print on a denim base. A cropped pink women's bomber is adorned with patches, while the Shark Lock boots are festooned with symbolic charms. The TK-360 returns for men in new colorways, from gradient gray to blue/green and red/yellow.

Urban essentials include colorful new takes on multi-colored low-tops and moon boots, and limited-edition caps with Givenchy and (b).STROY designs. For men, accessories span two backpacks — one in a classic shape embellished with various (b).STROY patches, the other a G-Zip with a new interpretation of the Givenchy emblem — and a mint green G- Shopper tote with the Givenchy 4G emblem in royal blue on one side and (b).STROY graphics on the other. Customized denim caps and multicolored tags with GIVENCHY lettering round out the capsule.
