Danielle Frankel’s newly opened Melrose Place boutique made its debut with an intimate evening that brought together food, fashion, and thoughtful design.
On April 23rd, the celebrated bridal designer welcomed guests into her Los Angeles flagship with a dinner in the courtyard, hosted in collaboration with acclaimed chef Missy Robbins—the James Beard Award winner behind Brooklyn’s beloved Lilia and Misi. Reflecting a shared reverence, the evening was dedicated to craftsmanship and an appreciation for tradition.
Spritz Biancos and Olive Oil Martinis greeted guests as golden light settled over Melrose Place. Whipped ricotta crostini and seasonal small bites set the tone, while the boutique’s clean lines and creamy palette subtly reflected Frankel’s signature aesthetic—elegant, architectural, and romantic.

As dusk descended upon LA, guests were welcomed into the dining room where they were treated to a three-course meal. Robbins’ menu began with vibrant antipasti—fresh vegetables and seafood—followed by a soulful secondi that honored the simplicity of Italian cooking. Dessert came in the form of her famed Olive Oil Cake: delicate, fragrant, and refined, much like the evening.

Event planner Marcy Blum oversaw the setting, transforming the space into an atmosphere that felt as tailored and considered as a Frankel gown. Details like the menu’s rhythm and ambient lighting reflected a subtle, curated touch.

The guest list reflected the brand’s cross-disciplinary appeal, with notable attendees like Abby Champion, Aurora James, Tallulah Willis, Derek Blasberg, Erin Foster, and others from the worlds of fashion, culture, and lifestyle.

Just as Frankel’s designs blend craft with contemporary ease, the evening was layered yet effortless. Cuisine became fabric. Conversation, embellishment. The affair unfolded with the same quiet confidence that defines the brand.
Now open at 8475 Melrose Place, the Danielle Frankel boutique is more than a retail space—it’s an extension of her world. In an era where fashion is defined by how it’s lived, not just worn, this opening marks a thoughtful and intentional evolution of her brand.
