Since taking the reins as Creative Director in 2016, Chiuri has redefined Dior with a feminist vision that celebrates female creativity and solidarity. This documentary serves as both a retrospective and a testament to her journey, showcasing her collaborations with visionary women from across the art world.

At the core of HER DIOR is the exploration of Chiuri's relationships with iconic female artists. The film highlights her collaboration with Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, whose essay 'We Should All Be Feminists' inspired a statement T-shirt in Chiuri's first collection, as well as groundbreaking artists like Judy Chicago, Tomaso Binga, photographers Brigitte Lacombe and Brigitte Niedermair, choreographer Sharon Eyal, and visual artists Mickalene Thomas and Joana Vasconcelos. Through candid interviews, the film offers insight into the deep bonds forged through shared values of empowerment and artistic freedom.

Also featured is the collaboration with Karishma Swali, director of the Chanakya ateliers, whose team transforms artistic concepts into intricate, handcrafted embroidered masterpieces for Dior’s shows. This partnership is a testament to Chiuri’s commitment to preserving craftsmanship and supporting female artisans.

The documentary also includes reflections from curators and art historians like Maria Alicata, Paola Ugolini, and Elena Del Drago, who contextualize how Chiuri’s collaborations have redefined the intersection of fashion and contemporary art. Chiuri’s daughter, Rachele Regini, provides a personal perspective on the Creative Director’s ongoing artistic journey.
