Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri unveils the Dior cruise 2023 collection in Seville, Spain. The collection is a "path of discovery, imagination and reflection, a combination of heritage and inventiveness." Moreover, it is a dialogue between the Parisian fashion house and the rich cultural history of Spain. Shown in the heart of the Plaza de España, the collection pays homage to Spanish ferias, from the art of dance to equestrian traditions.

Notably, the show is dedicated to one of the greatest flamenco dancers of all time, Carmen Amaya. Chiuri found inspiration in how Amaya liberated dance by rewriting the rules of dance with her own. Beyond Amaya, the collection further draws inspiration with looks that evoke the Duchess of Alba. She was famously photographed riding horseback with Jackie Kennedy. Finally, the show also drew from a myriad of other moments of Spanish collective imagination.

The emblematic Manila Shawl tells stories of the communities who wore it; the multiple voices of nomadic objects tell their stories through the silhouettes that are seen in the show. In sum, it is a celebration of the convergence of the plural visions of femininity as seen through the lens of Chiuri's Dior.
