This spring, the fashion world’s most celebrated exhibition is poised to captivate Seoul. From April 19 to July 13, 2025, Christian Dior’s acclaimed "Designer of Dreams" will take over the architectural masterpiece that is Dongdaemun Design Plaza, bringing the brand’s illustrious seventy-five-year legacy to life in an immersive experience designed by visionary architect Shohei Shigematsu of OMA.
Following its global triumphs in Paris, London, Shanghai, New York, and Tokyo, the Seoul edition promises an exclusive reinterpretation of Dior’s storied history. Curated by fashion historian Florence Müller, this monumental exhibition spans Dior’s transformative New Look era to the house’s modern-day reinventions, while offering intimate glimpses into the couturier’s passions for gardens, art, and the dazzling world of high society.
What makes this Seoul iteration particularly extraordinary is its dialogue with Korean artistry. For the first time, the Lady Dior gallery will showcase exclusive works from the Dior Lady Art project and the Lady Dior As Seen By concept, featuring nine creations from celebrated Korean artists including HyunJoo Kim, Soo Sunny Park, and Zadie Xa. These reimaginations serve as a powerful cultural exchange, reinforcing Dior’s deep and meaningful ties to South Korea.
Visitors will be transported through captivating perfume installations, with iconic bottles and portraits set against the backdrop of Dior’s iconic haute couture creations. Standout moments include gowns worn by global ambassadors like Rihanna for J'adore and Natalie Portman for Miss Dior, enhancing the emotional resonance of the exhibition.
This exhibition marks a major milestone in Dior’s growing presence in South Korea, complementing its flourishing cultural partnerships, including collaborations with Ewha Womans University and global ambassador Jisoo of Blackpink.
Tickets will be available starting April 2, 2025, online. Given the unparalleled demand, it is anticipated to be one of Seoul’s most sought-after events this season.
