Nina Ricci showed the spring/summer 2020 collection in Paris. The house is known for leading the evolution from couture to ready-to-wear in the 20th Century. This collection illustrated that transition of the brand’s history with artful draping and tailoring, all done with a bit of whimsy.
The flower pot shape becomes a hat as easily as a handbag, shoulder cuts are played with, and am impressive amount of tulle layering becomes a multi-colored dress. Nina Ricci is upholding a standard of luxury with an artisanal approach that is becoming exceedingly rare in the ready-to-wear collections.
