Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear, Kim Jones, describes the collection as a reflection of "the idea of Roman freedom; that elegance in ease and not caring what anybody else thinks, about women who dress for themselves and their own lives. It is about the confidence and chicness that comes with that, of not being something but being someone.”
The collection's palette is a delightful mix of pale blues, vivid reds, bright yellows, and contrasting neutrals, evoking the vibrant energy of a Roman summer. Sophisticated pastel hues of beiges, browns, and navy blues are infused with fresh shades of salmon and golden yellow, applied throughout the collection on a casual, relaxed, and sporty silhouette shaped with silk transparencies, svelte tailoring, and sequined knits.
The iconic Pequin pattern, originally designed by Karl Lagerfeld in 1983, makes a triumphant return in bold bicolour variations of bright hues and pale neutrals. This 'logo no logo' pattern graces everything from leather jackets to silk twill separates, airy tulle dresses and pants, and even sparkling sequined ribs. The same mood is reflected in the Men's line-up, where the Pequin adorns estival materials from sponge to cotton and crochet.
Denim takes center stage in the collection, dyed with a darker Pequin motif, twisted with FF chambray in a soft 2D tonal effect, or bleached in the menswear. Key denim pieces include an oversized car coat with FF chambray, a classic Pequin denim jacket, jeans, shirt dresses, and minis for women. Men can enjoy a renewed FF printed fringed denim pattern on linen or cotton.
