Ferragamo unveils its new pre-fall 2023 campaign designed by Maximillian Davis and captured by Tyler Mitchell. Looking at Salvatore Ferragamo’s rich history, such as the cowboy boot he designed for the 1923 film The Covered Wagon, Davis explores the tropes and aesthetics of the era. The new campaign captures minimalist shapes with clean cuts and versatile types of denim – all colored by the spirit of the American Western.

I want to explore what contemporary essentials are, from denim to eveningwear. To take classic pieces in the everyday wardrobe and twist or subvert them with textures and materials that make them feel more modern, more playful and more unexpected.
Maximillian Davis, Creative Director, Ferragamo
Captured by Tyler Mitchell, the new campaign unveils a reflection of the Ferragamo universe, one distinctly modern and timeless.
Tyler is someone who I’ve grown up with; we’re part of the same community and we’ve always spoken about collaborating. There’s a simplicity and elegance to his work and the way that he captures people; a laid-back clarity which is never forced.

The glamor of Hollywood is reframed with relaxed shapes such as a bustier dress rendered in gold foiled eelskin or Ferragamo’s iconic Rainbow sanda,l first designed for Judy Garland in 1938, now reinterpreted by Davis. Explore the entire campaign below and more on ferragamo.com.
