A Cinematic Tribute to Jean-Luc Godard

Fondazione Prada's Cinema Godard honors the groundbreaking director Jean-Luc Godard, whose experimental and visionary work has inspired generations. This tribute extends beyond just cinema; Godard also created permanent installations, "Le Studio d’Orphée" and "Accent-sœur," at Fondazione Prada. In 2023, the foundation pays homage to Godard with a retrospective, screening classics like "British Sounds" and "Lotte in Italia" on the big screen.

Conversations with Directors

Rebecca Zlotowski, a prominent French director, kicks off the series on September 16th, reflecting on her cinematic journey from "Belle épine" to "Les enfants des autres." On September 17th, German director Werner Herzog engages the audience, presenting his latest films and unveiling a selection of his documentary works that have never been theatrically released in Italy. Finally, on September 22nd, Wes Anderson discusses his latest film, "Asteroid City," following its Italian premiere.
