Givenchy celebrates Parisian attitude with a new powerful statement bag, the Voyou

Givenchy unveils a new essential statement bag for spring summer 2023, the Voyou. A part of Givenchy Creative Director Matthew M. Williams' manifesto on urban dressing, the Voyou becomes a must-have accessory, cross-pollinating French and American style codes. Channeling a Parisian chic attitude, Williams unveiled the new addition to the Givenchy bag family at the Givenchy spring summer 2023 runway show held at the Jardin des Plantes.

Infused with the House's founder, Hubert de Givenchy's philosophy of timeless, everyday elegance, Williams injects a California relaxed sensibility – a modern vision of global fashion for the digital era.

I wanted to revisit fashion archetypes with a kind of new language and a playful attitude. With the Voyou, you know at a glance that it's Parisian, but it's at home wherever it goes, and it makes an everyday style statement that has true staying power.

The Voyou

Named after a slang term that translates to "bad boy" in French, the Voyou is a feminine yet casual bag. Crafted in grained calfskin, the Voyou features luxurious details and a complex construction – all with the lightness and convenience of a hobo.

Under its weight, the large and medium Voyou fold over naturally, adapting to the line of the body and closing gracefully without the need for fastenings. Inside, a zippered compartment keeps essentials such as a smartphone, wallet, and keys secure in one place (the mini Voyou is designed with a zip closure).

Adaptable to long, short, hand-carry, or cross-body, adjustable straps are discreetly embossed with metallic Givenchy lettering. The bag is perfect for a dash of Parisian nonchalance, day or night.

Available in three sizes: mini, medium, and large, the Voyou comes in a variety of timeless or seasonal colors. Materials range from tumbled leather to special editions in metalized leather, soft-crafted denim, and an elevated version in satin and strass.

Colors include: black, ivory, silk pink, or mint green; tumbled leather, gunmetal laminated textured leather (medium); leather-free crafted denim (medium); and silver leather and satin embellished with silvery strass (mini).

The new addition is offered in tumbled leather: $1500 (mini), $2,150 (medium), $2,500 (large), as well as special editions: $2,300 (silver leather, medium); $1,650 (silver strass evening mini); $2,250 (denim, medium).
