Apple TV+’s immersive event on April 5th at New Jersey’s Bell Works for its hit series Severance was an unforgettable evening of fashion and storytelling. At the heart of this captivating experience was Gwendoline Christie, whose in-character entrance as Lorne, the enigmatic and imposing figure from Severance, stole the spotlight.
Christie’s entrance, timed with a live performance of Theodore Shapiro’s haunting theme, set the tone for her powerful presence. Draped in Prada—synonymous with the sleek, powerful sophistication of Lorne’s character—Christie brought her to life in a way that blurred the lines between fiction and reality.

The event effortlessly blended Severance's dystopian corporate world with real-world artistry. Bell Works, the filming location for Lumon Industries, was transformed into an eerily authentic replica of the show’s minimalist universe. Guests entered with blue Lumon access cards and were greeted by Sarah Bock as the unsettling Miss Huang. Every detail, from the gourmet melon bars to the recreated break room, immersed attendees in Lumon’s cold, surreal world.
This wasn’t Christie’s first time bringing her character to life in Prada. At the 2025 PaleyFest for Severance in Los Angeles on March 21, she stunned again in Prada, reinforcing her knack for blending high fashion with her complex role.

But it was Christie’s commanding presence at Bell Works that elevated the evening to another level. Her in-character performance added a layer of mystique, reinforcing the show’s core themes of identity, control, and the fractured self. As Lorne, with her icy demeanor and inscrutable authority, Christie set the tone for the evening, leaving attendees in awe.
The night culminated in an insightful panel moderated by Stephen Colbert, featuring Severance creator Dan Erickson and cast members Adam Scott, John Turturro, Zach Cherry, and Tramell Tillman. With 14 Emmy nominations, including wins for Outstanding Music Composition and Main Title Design, the panel delved into the series’ unique blend of high-concept drama and visual artistry.
As the evening wrapped up, attendees departed with Lumon-branded merch and a deeper appreciation for Severance’s ability to blend immersive experiences with boundary-pushing storytelling. For Gwendoline Christie, it was a night that showcased not just her acting talent but her ability to bring a character’s essence to life in every aspect of the event.
With both seasons of Severance streaming globally and a third season officially greenlit, fans are eagerly anticipating the next chapter in this haunting corporate dystopia—and wondering what new layers Christie’s Lorne will bring to the table.
