JKEEFER Series 1-Repeater

Joseph Keefer presents JKEEFER Series 1-Repeater as part of New York Fashion Week. Described as trend adverse, the label explores "the relationship between the minimalist art movement and punk music." This particular collection is inspired by the minimalist work of Richard Serra by "altering the viewer's perception of their environment."

Luxurious fabrics such as cashmere by Loro Piana, organic Italian wools and cottons, Aniline Italian leather, and Japanese poplin form the foundation of the collection. A color palette consisting of oxidized brown, cement gray, cor-ten orange, and fiberglass black and white.

Founded in New York in 2020 by creative director Joseph Keefer, JKEEFER explores Keefer's passino for modernist art, hardcore and punk music. Keefer is a self taught designer and began his career in buying for iconic streetwear retailers such as Commander Salamander and Up Against The Wall. He has worked under Robert Geller while the label was After moving to New York, Keefer worked as a designer under Robert Geller, where during his tenure the brand was a CFDA Vogue Fund finalist and won CFDA Swarovski Award for Menswear in 2010. 

Keefer went on to work in brand development and consulted for the likes of Tim Hamilton, Siki Im, Deveaux New York, Barneys New York, Earnest Sewn and was in house with luxury retailer SSENSE. He now owns a multidisciplinary fashion agency and through that venture has been a key partner in the launch of brands such as Artilect, Melaire, Sample Eyewear, Sebastien Ami, and now JKEEFER.
