La Galerie Dior, the French House's museum space dedicated to its heritage and artistic legacy, presents a touching tribute to legendary photographerPeter Lindberghwith an unprecedented exhibition of his work for the House. Opening October 17 and running through May 4, 2025,Exposition Dior/Lindberghfeatures approximately 100 images capturingDior’s most iconic moments from 1988 to 2018.
"My great subject was women. To follow them as closely as possible so that they could express themselves and assert their truth. I track down a mystery, I seek an emotion," Lindbergh once reflected, encapsulating the spirit that defined his work with the House.

Created in partnership with thePeter Lindbergh Foundation, the exhibition chronicles the photographer's distinctive vision across six creative directorships—fromChristian DiortoMaria Grazia Chiuri, including the tenures ofYves Saint Laurent,Marc Bohan,Gianfranco Ferré,John Galliano, andRaf Simons.

The retrospective unveils a remarkable finale: never-before-seen images from an extraordinary 2018 New York street photography series. For this final project, Dior orchestrated an unprecedented transport of over 80 archival pieces across the Atlantic. "Haute couture was traditionally associated with an idea of perfection and extreme mastery; my wish was to transport 70 years of Dior creations into unexpected territory," Lindbergh explained. "The contrast with the streets of New York provided the perfect backdrop for revealing unsuspected emotions."

Spanning ten carefully curated spaces, the exhibition showcases both iconic magazine editorials forVogueandHarper's Bazaaralongside intimate contact sheets and work prints. Lindbergh's naturalistic approach and commitment to unveiling beauty without artifice aligns perfectly with Dior's celebration of feminine allure, creating a powerful dialogue between photographer and House.
The exhibition runs daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (except Tuesdays) at La Galerie Dior, 11 rue François-1er, Paris. This latest installation further cements the gallery's position as a cornerstone of fashion history, having welcomed over one million visitors since its 2022 opening.
