The Fall/Winter 2024 menswear collection by Saint Laurent evolves previous seasons' elements with new tones and content, referencing 1980s power dressing through classic, double-breasted suits. As the show progresses, this formality softens into more fluid tailoring reminiscent of the house's recent women's collection, featuring crepe georgette jackets lined with satin and lacking traditional reinforcement.

The color palette transitions from somber to lighter shades, including pale nudes, greens, and violets, reflecting the sartorial journey of the brand's founder. The collection showcases fluid tailoring with an appearance of fabric becoming liquid. A notable piece includes a black leather hat paired with a structured rubber peacoat, a modern reinterpretation of a 1960s design, worn with loose trousers. The presentation takes place at the Bourse de Commerce, transformed with a black carpet and a dramatic arch of dark flowers, paying homage to the iconic shows of Yves Saint Laurent.
