Jonathan Anderson shows LOEWE spring summer 2022. The introduction of hidden and also gilded reflective shapes is a significant departure for Anderson's Loewe. Armor? Aversion to the male gaze? There are a number of ways to look at it, but isn't that the point of the culture today – plurality and perception. Anderson seems to have come into his own lately at Loewe.
His first namesake collection at JW Anderson was risk-taking and exciting...that got lost somewhere under Loewe and his own brand in the following years. It's nice to see Anderson let go a bit and channel self expression back into his collections.
