Louis Vuitton's spring summer 2021 men's collection by Virgil Abloh made its way to Miami's Design District yesterday. The temporary residency shows Abloh's psychadelic universe of Adventures of Zoooom with Friends as we previously wrote about here (part 1) and here (part 2). The containers activate via SnapChat and allow users to experience and interact with Louis Vuitton in an entirely new way – through the digital world.
A focus of the collection is a double play on the trending fashion word upcycling. The collection reuses recycled materials to create a new finished product. Similiarly, Abloh cleverly recycles ideas from the past winter collection and, controversially, other designers. New to the Spring/Summer 2021 collection is the LV 2054 ski collection. The campaign images are stunning and the collection, too. Adding functionality to the line creates a new lifestyle component to the collection that avid and fashionable skiers are sure to appreciate.
