Ludovic de Saint Sernin spring summer 2022

October 4, 2021

Ludovic de Saint Sernin shows the spring summer 2022 collection. The scantily styled show offers a beachy vibe – something that used to be the territory of Tomas Maier at Bottega Veneta. Sponsored by Pornhub, fashion critic, Vogue's Sarah Mower, said of the sponsorship, "of course this [sponsorship] makes complete sense. Populating adjacent entertainment businesses is becoming one of the names of the game for designers in the 2020s. Among Pornhub’s 22 million registered viewers, there have to be plenty who’ll be keen for an eyeful of what De Saint Sernin serves up."

Perhaps? Not sure where that's coming from... As if this is the first fashion show that has ever shown a lot of skin? Ironically, Sarah Mower reviewed Tom Ford's iconic Gucci 1996 runway show and it seems this look has been censored from Vogue runway. Maybe that's why she has forgotten. I think what Mower is missing from her assessment is that today fashion is entertainment.

In any case, Sernin has a real talent for coming up with new silhouettes and keeping it consistently about expressing oneself unapologetically.
