British heritage meets contemporary design in Jon Strassburg's intimate AW25 collection
For Autumn/Winter 2025, Meta Campania Collective returns to British soil, drawing inspiration from co-founder Jon Strassburg's childhood family portrait. Shot at Catswood Farm in the Cotswolds by Olivier Kervern, the collection transforms traditional English fabrics into contemporary silhouettes while maintaining the brand's minimalist foundations.
The collection builds on British textile heritage, employing checks, donegals, felts, and Shetland wool throughout. A standout workwear jacket and drawstring trouser set, the brand's signature 'artist uniform,' appears in structured British check wool. Textural elements come to life through shearling jackets, mohair double-breasted coats, and astrakhan-like blousons layered over cotton cashmere dresses.

Outerwear stands as a particular strength this season, with elongated silhouettes defining both coats and skirts. Innovation appears in the form of cashmere-woven denim, utilized in both five-pocket styles and shirting jackets. The color palette moves between deep jewel tones, punctuated by checks and vibrant knits.
A new accessory, 'The Frame' bag, makes its debut this season. Inspired by corner protectors used for paintings, the design features signature goose down padding and brass hardware, executed in subtle calf leather with an unlined interior.

The collection opens Paris Fashion Week, accompanied by musician and artist Joseph Schiano di Lombo performing his piece 'Homelands.' The lookbook directed by Jon Strassburg and Heiko Keinath features the Halard-Brooks family and friends, lending an authentic warmth that mirrors the collection's exploration of heritage and home.
The images present a thoughtful study in contrasts - architectural silhouettes against the rolling English countryside, technical fabrics alongside traditional wool, and structured tailoring meeting relaxed proportions. This interplay reflects Meta Campania Collective's evolving dialogue between classical craftsmanship and contemporary design sensibilities.
