MSGM presents FW18, a collection summed up in three words: Unity. Identity. Causality.
Inspired by the cultural language around the collegiate, the brand presents a guideline for contemporary living, a uniform undone. This is achieved through a celebratory palette of crimson, yellows, and dark greens with a pop of millennial pink. The cast of students walk the runway as a statement of solidarity, “the shackles of the institution,” describes MSGM, “but with the quiet rebellion of the individual.”
In felt wool, fleece and nylon, block paneled puffer jackets and tailored coats are spliced with college patches, whilst italian schoolboy graffiti tags become new msgm mottos on tees and embroidered workwear badges. I love you = hailoviù / ge tem. “tempodicambiare” signals a time for change.
The collection captures the spirit of youth and hope, a new generation full of new ideas and changing attitudes.
