Francisco Ragazzi presents the Palm Angels Spring/Summer 2020 collection in Paris. Ragazzi has the future in his hands. The aesthetic of Palm Angels has always pinballed between the celebration of counter culture and the playful irony of subcultures. Keeping with his hyper idealized L.A. aesthetic, florals, tie-die and butterflies appear alongside edgier designs like tattoo graphics and a sweater with flaming sleeves.
When it’s seventy degrees all year round, the wardrobe becomes eclectic: letterman jackets, board shorts, and a touch of shearling may seem a bit disparate but don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. The spirit of freedom, what to wear and how to wear it, is what makes Ragazzi’s vision appealing to an audience that rejects categorization.
