Located in Paris’ vibrant 10th arrondissement, Bureau du Parfum opens its first boutique, inviting fragrance enthusiasts to explore the art of perfumery with refreshing transparency. After two years hidden in a private courtyard, the innovative fragrance consultancy, founded by Aurélie Dematons and Jérôme Herrgott, now brings its bold vision to the public at 30 rue du Château d'Eau.

A Space Where Expertise Meets Artistry

Bureau du Parfum carries forward Paris' legacy for fragrance through its commitment to transparency and education. The 12m² boutique, designed by architect Bertrand Harold Emgoue Tchakam of studio BETH & EPISTEME, embodies this philosophy. Rich okoumé wood evokes organic luxury, while minimalist terrazzo flooring ensures the fragrances take center stage.

With over two decades of combined experience, Dematons and Herrgott created a space that blends laboratory precision with the creativity of a workshop, where raw materials are displayed with care, and a curated selection of niche brands invites discovery.

From Industry Insiders to Fragrance Educators

The founders bring a wealth of knowledge to their venture. Dematons, an expert in fragrance creation and olfactory identities through her agency Le Musc & La Plume, also contributes to NEZ magazine. In 2017, she traveled the world, studying the plants that fuel the perfume industry, which now shapes her approach to scent.

Herrgott’s passion for niche perfumery began at Heeley Parfums, where he played a key role in expanding independent fragrance houses in France. His diverse career spans fashion marketing and the culinary world, offering Bureau du Parfum a refined perspective that blends artistry with business insight.

A Dual Approach to Fragrance Discovery

Bureau du Parfum’s boutique represents the founders' mission to demystify fragrance for both connoisseurs and newcomers. The street-facing shop, open Monday through Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM, offers an approachable introduction to perfume in a sophisticated setting. Meanwhile, the original courtyard location remains dedicated to private consultations and educational workshops, delving into raw materials and perfumery techniques.

This dual approach underscores the belief that fragrance discovery should be an immersive journey of knowledge and sensory experience. In a market dominated by mass production, Bureau du Parfum offers a sanctuary where perfume is celebrated for its artistry, the quality of its ingredients, and its craftsmanship.

A New Era of Luxury

In Paris’ evolving fragrance scene, Bureau du Parfum represents a new definition of luxury—one rooted in knowledge, connection, and craftsmanship. It’s a space where connoisseurs deepen their appreciation of scent, and newcomers embark on their own sensory journey. For those seeking to navigate the world of fragrance with sophistication and confidence, Bureau du Parfum is an essential destination—ushering in a future where true luxury is based on expertise and the celebration of fragrance as both art and science.
