Sustainability and craftsmanship are two words that are often in opposition to industrial manufacturing. A new collaboration between the accessories brand pinqponq and Dutch design duo, Schepers Bosman challenge that notion. The design takes common manufacturing elements like patchwork and stitching and repurposes them into graphic and tactile composites.
The two bag styles from the collaboration are pinqponq’s Tetrik and Blok – the Blok is a highly functional backpack and the Tetrik, a versatile hip bag. They are both offered in the multi-textured pattern with a signature fluorescent yellow stripe. Perhaps the greatest achievement of the collaboration is that all the fabrics are 100% recycled from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles.
The collection releases today and has a limited available quantities at select retailers and online, pinqponq.com.
