Prada presents “Ultravision,” the brand’s fall/winter 2018 womenswear advertising campaign. Photographed by Willy Vanderperre in Milan, the series captures an impressive cast of models: Mica Argañaraz, Sarah Fraser, Amanda Murphy, Sasha Pivovarova, Amber Valletta, Liu Wen, Kiki Willems, and Anok Yai. The cast is reimagined as hyper-colored Prada heroines, glowing with fluorescence and captured in elegant and dynamic movements. The campaign is set in the extreme architectonic interiors of the Milan Fondazione Prada Torre. The enclaves, labyrinthine, multi-angled staircases and glass pinnacles with panoramic views of the Milanese skyline combine to create a heightened experience of radiating color and feminine strength.
As a sequence, the images become fragmented parts of a storyline, a journey. Powerful women symbolically ascend the Torre’s staircases to its peak in the latest exploration of the Prada woman. Incandescent with unreal, extreme and saturated hues, the images – and the women captured – are part reality, part fantasy.
