Anthony Vaccarello shows the Saint Laurent spring summer 2022 collection in Paris. Skin is in, Vaccarello seems to say. Known for his slim skin tight fashion, the appointment at Saint Laurent started out a bit awkward. There were many comparisons to Hedi Slimane's influence on the brand and then when Slimane took over Celine. Slowly but surely Vaccarello created a lexicon of his own influence.
This show perhaps the culmination and pinnacle of that effort. You can see here the history of Yves Saint Laurent mending seamlessly with the vision of Vaccarello. Super sexy sling dresses and draping makes this collection feel ready for breezy summer evenings and cocktail parties. Isn't that what Yves was all about anyway?
