Saint Laurent Women’s FW25: Artistic Expression Triumphs With A Bold, Color-Rich Collection
Yes! Anthony Vaccarello's FW25 collection for Saint Laurent was less about commercial viability and more about evoking emotion and artistic expression. The event took place near the Eiffel Tower on a striking black onyx stage closing this Paris Fashion Week season with a bang.
He steered away from overt branding and instead focused on creative vigor, crafting a show that resonated on a deeply sensory and aesthetic level.

The collection was all about strong tailoring, sharp silhouettes, and structured designs that exuded both strength and elegance. Inspired by a video snippet of model Amalia Vairelli, who described Saint Laurent as "love" — Vaccarello aimed to capture the emotional depth and unspoken connection that defined the house's golden era.
Backstage, Vaccarello revealed his vision for "something clean, with no ornamentation, no decoration, no… nothing.” Bomber jackets and coats featured bold, structured shoulders, reminiscent of the 1980s power-dressing but with a refined modern touch.

When masculine meets feminine - Vaccarello masterfully blends both elements, balancing sharp tailoring with sleek pencil skirts, rounded slip dresses, form-fitting dresses, and oversized outerwear playing with opposing textures and movement.
The collection also featured trim, sheer dresses crafted from lightweight silicone fabric, showcasing Vaccarello's innovative approach to materials. The incorporation of technical jersey added flexibility and comfort, emphasizing a sense of ease and freedom.

Deep jewel tones, rich purples, fuchsia, coral, vibrant blues, and warm earth hues replaced his usual black-and-neutral palette. Vaccarello admitted this was "the most color I have ever done."

Lace played a notable role, especially with the breathtaking blue lace see-through dress worn by Bella Hadid marking her return to the runway. This dress was a striking and daring moment, showcasing a delicate yet bold combination of sensuality and refinement.

Saint Laurent Women’s FW25: No Handbags, No Distractions
One of the boldest statements of YSL's show was the complete absence of handbags on the runway. This decision reinforced the commitment to creative expression over commercial appeal.
Vaccarello continues to honor Yves Saint Laurent's legacy while modernizing its signature strength and femininity. This wasn't about following trends or pushing product - it was about making a statement, evoking desire, and embracing fashion as art.
A-List Front Row included BLACKPINK's Rosé, Austin Butler, Zoë Kravitz, Linda Evangelista, Philippine Beaulieu, Kid Cudi, and Charli XCX.
