Serapian unveiled its Fall-Winter 2025 collection in dramatic fashion, staging a secret Black & White ball (masks mandatory) at the stately Villa Mozart. The aristocratic opulence of bygone Milano was revived in all its glory; guests were greeted by a pyramid of glimmering champagne coupes as they entered a world of mystery, seduction, and unapologetic glamour. Yet amidst the sea of A-list guests, with bubbly flowing and dancing continuing into the early morning hours, it was the bags that took center stage.

The Mosaico Duo, an exciting new style that emphasizes the maison’s attention to detail by featuring the timeless Mosaico pattern on both the exterior and interior, was an instant classic. Available with an Off-White exterior and Sahara interior or a Black exterior with a Pink interior, the graceful bag encapsulated youthful, effortless elegance. Also memorable was a cachemire leather piece introduced to the Alta Pelletteria collection—available in sumptuous hues of Storm and Grape, with a distinctive band detail, it was a truly refined indulgence. Meanwhile, the Secret bag and clutch were reinterpreted in contemporary fashion: Nappa leather was interwoven with bright leather braids, ribbons, and micro chains to form a playful Mosaico.

As usual, Serapian juxtaposed the new collection with objets from the maison’s Métiers d’Art. This season spotlighted glass vessels created by Milanese artist Michela Cattai, whose undulating Murano forms beautifully complemented the flowing bags. Guests also received objets of their own—Mosaico masks created in partnership with Milan’s Ilariuss Studio.

Now almost a hundred years old, Serapian remains the final word in bespoke bags and luxurious leather craftsmanship. The black-and-white ball reaffirmed its place in the most exclusive echelons of Milanese society while also expanding its appeal to a younger generation of clients.
