Pierpaolo Piccioli presented the Fall 2020 Valentino couture show titled "The Performance: of Grace and Light, a dialogue between Pierpaolo Piccioli and Nick Knight." The sixteen look collection drew upon real world circumstances of being in lockdown and having to overcome obstacles in the creation process – something that is usually a hands-on exercise in technique and execution. The resulting couture collection is a colorful commentary on digital culture photographed by the legendary Nick Knight. Meanwhile the lookbook images reveal a dreamy and imaginative vision of extreme proportions as models float in the nearly all white extravagant collection.
