Sotheby's announced a unique pair of Louis Vuitton Air Force 1s by Virgil Abloh for auction, January 26 through February 8. Proceeds of the sale will go to the Fashion Scholarship Fund which "supports the education of academically promising students of Black, African American, or African descent."
This auction is the first-ever release of the Louis Vuitton and Nike "Air Force 1" as designed by Virgil Abloh for the Spring Summer 2022 collection. 200 pairs of the special edition will be made in a range of sizes (5-18) and have a starting bid of $2,000. Embellished in Louis Vuitton's emblematic monogram and Damier patterns, the shoes are made with natural cowhide piping and monogram taurillon leather.
