First-Time Director Zoë Kravitz Steps Out in Minimalist Luxury amid Career-Defining Year
By Fashion Editorial Staff
In the midst of what's shaping up to be her most transformative year yet, Zoë Kravitz appeared in New York in a sophisticated look that's become her signature. The actress-turned-director has been generating awards season buzz for her hotly anticipated directorial debut "Blink Twice."
The 36-year-old creative force has evolved from goth-glam and boho-inspired looks into refined minimalism, a transformation evidenced by her ongoing relationship with Saint Laurent. Under the direction of Anthony Vaccarello, the French fashion house first saw Kravitz appear as the face of the FW18 campaign, joined in the FW20 campaign by her father, Lenny Kravitz—both representing the brand's edgy, rock-inspired vision.
Stepping out in New York City on February 13th, Kravitz brought polish to downtown restaurant Joyface, where she joined Shailene Woodley and Cara Delevingne to celebrate Danielle Haim's birthday.
For the evening, Kravitz wore a dark tailored wool coat layered over a silk midi dress. Sheer tights and The Row's minimalist Vika kitten heels grounded the look, while a royal blue scarf embodied a broody and sophisticated color story. She completed her look with Saint Laurent's Cassandre Chain Pouch in black lambskin. With its understated gold hardware, the cross-body accessory designed to resemble an envelope, was a perfect finishing touch of luxe.

Her minimalistic approach to styling with Saint Laurent and The Row, complements her transition from acclaimed actress to influential director. While "Blink Twice" was shortlisted for an Academy Award for Best Original Score in 2025, it was ultimately not nominated. However, Kravitz continues to shape film and culture through her cinematic work and style. Whether behind the camera or on the streets of New York, Kravitz shows us that reinvention never goes out of style.
